Information and Personal Experiences Related To Tourette Syndrome – See links below

My son, Jacob, has Tourette Syndrome and OCD. Since his diagnosis, at the age of 6, I have gone through many stages – kind of like a 12 step program – denial, anger, grief, acceptance.

I am now at a place where I can honestly say I’m okay. I didn’t come to this place easily. I have cried and cursed God, while in the same breath thanking him that Jacob is not fatally ill and praying for the strength to get through this.

I don’t care what anyone tells you, when you find out your child has a condition or disorder, it’s devastating whether or not it’s fatal. It changes things inside of you.

I have learned to embrace those changes and I’ve had the opportunity to help others do the same. That’s what I hope to do here – provide information and stories that will help you embrace the change within you.
